Loremi Tours

Loremi Tours proudly participated in the 10th Edition of the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE), Uganda’s leading tourism trade event. Over three days, we connected with buyers, tourism stakeholders, and travel enthusiasts, sharing the story of Destination Acholi Land and the experiences that make it unique.

As interest in authentic travel experiences continues to grow, Acholi Land is emerging as a unique destination for travelers seeking to connect with local communities, culture, and heritage. Visitors can experience traditional Acholi hospitality, cultural performances, local cuisine, storytelling traditions, community-led experiences, and historical sites that offer a deeper understanding of Northern Uganda.

At Loremi Tours, we believe that community-based tourism creates meaningful connections between travelers and local people while supporting sustainable development. By promoting responsible tourism in Uganda, we aim to ensure that local communities benefit directly from tourism while preserving their cultural heritage for future generations.

Our participation at POATE 2026 also highlighted the importance of partnerships in promoting Uganda tourism. Through our collaboration with locally based Artisans Like Ajura Clothes, we showcased the culture, heritage, and identity of Acholi Land throughout the expo, brought to life through their craftsmanship and creativity.

As Uganda continues to position itself as a leading destination for cultural and community tourism in Africa, Acholi Land offers travelers an opportunity to experience authentic traditions, vibrant communities, and unforgettable journeys beyond the usual tourist routes.
