In November, Loremi Tours had the privilege of showcasing the rich cultural heritage and untapped beauty of Acholi Land during the CBI roadshow across Europe. The journey provided an inspiring platform to connect with key travel industry partners and share our vision for meaningful, responsible, and community-rooted tourism in Northern Uganda.
One of our first stops was in the Netherlands, where we met with Positive Impact Tourism (PIT). The conversation was grounded in shared values. Together, we reflected on how community-based tourism is evolving in our regions and how local operators like Loremi can continue shaping travel experiences that uplift communities and protect cultural identity. This constructive exchange reaffirmed our mutual commitment to impactful, sustainable tourism.
We later joined Kara-Tunga for a series of presentations in Cologne, Munich, and Zurich. Across these sessions, we engaged with more than 40 European tour operators and travel agents. Rather than promoting conventional itineraries, we highlighted a deeper narrative, the profound cultural immersion awaiting travellers in Uganda’s less-travelled Great North.
The roadshow marked a meaningful step in strengthening the bridge between responsible tour operators in Uganda and conscientious travel creators across Europe. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the CBI team for their exceptional coordination and to all partners who listened, shared, and engaged with genuine interest.
As we look ahead, we envision more tour operators going beyond the typical highlights to embrace Uganda’s immersive cultural offerings, especially the stories, people, and landscapes of the Great North.
