The Adventure Capital Experience

5days /4 nights

If you have 5 days to spare and want to see why they call Jinja the Adventure Capital of East Africa, this itinerary is designed for you. You’ll ease in with forest hikes and zip-lining in Mabira Forest, stand at the legendary Source of the Nile, then push your limits on the roaring
rapids of the Nile.

Mabira Forest

We’ll pick you up from your spot in Kampala early in the morning. The goal is to get ahead of the morning rush so you can actually enjoy the road. Your first stop is Ssezibwa Falls, a place wrapped in local legend and tucked away from the main highway. You will take a short hike and try a bit of rock climbing on the jagged cliffs that overlook the falls. By midday, you’ll proceed into Mabira Forest then head to the Griffin Falls area for the Super Skyway. After lunch, you’ll be zip-lining 40 meters up, literally sliding through the treetops. Keep an eye out for Uganda Mangabey. After you've had your fill of the heights, we’ll drive the final stretch into Jinja as the sun starts to dip. On arrival, we’ll get you settled into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Stone Town & the Source

After breakfast, you'll head out to spend some time in Jinja Town, often referred to as the "stone town" due to its architecture. You'll walk through the Railway Museum to see the old steam engines that once linked the coast to the heart of Africa, then browse the local markets for handmade crafts. After the tour, lunch will be waiting for you. In the afternoon, you'll head to the water and take a slow boat ride to the Source of the Nile. There’s a specific spot where the lake water begins to bubble and flow north; standing there makes you realize you're at the beginning of a 6,000 km journey. You'll stay out long enough to watch the sun drop over the water, turning the river into gold. Later we return to the lodge for dinner and rest to prepare for the adventure ahead.

White Water Rafting

After breakfast, you'll set out for an adventure-filled day of white-water rafting, one of the most popular activities in Jinja. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rafter, the Nile offers thrilling rapids that promise an unforgettable experience. You’ll spend about 4-5 hours on the water with experienced guides leading the way, navigating through some of the river’s most exciting and challenging rapids like the "Itanda Falls, " surrounded by stunning scenery. Lunch will be provided mid-river on a quiet island. After a long day of battling the waves, you'll head back to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

The Big Leap

We’re not letting you leave without one last adrenaline spike. After a relaxed breakfast, we head to the bungee platform. Standing 44 meters above the Nile, you’ll have a few seconds to take in the incredible view of the river valley before taking the leap. It’s a short drop, but the rush of diving toward the longest river on earth is something you’ll feel in your chest for years. After a well deserved lunch, you’ll hop onto Quad Bikes for a cross-country safari. This isn't just about speed, you’ll ride through the back-end villages, passing through local farms and seeing a side of Jinja that most travelers miss from the main road. Expect to get a bit dusty or muddy, depending on the weather as you navigate the narrow trails along the riverbanks. Later you'll return to your accommodation to freshen up and have dinner and an overnight stay.

The Road To Kampala

Today after breakfast, we’ll start the drive back to Kampala, leaving the roar of the Nile behind but carrying the stories home arriving just on time in kampala
